The Retire to Abundance Newsletter

Craving Normalcy:

Every year when school gets going again, I realize how much I miss having some routine. We all do better when life has a little structure, and the same goes for our finances. This time of year, as things slow down from the summer rush, is a great chance to take a step back and see what adjustments might help. Maybe it’s increasing retirement contributions, making sure your withdrawal plan is still on track, or even thinking through a bigger transition like retirement or starting a side business. Whatever it is, carving out time now to check in on can go a long way toward making your life even more fulfilling down the road.

The sketch from Carl Richards, a well know financial author and creator of thought-provoking sketches, is simple but profound. And maybe the next time you meet someone new, rather than asking what they do for work, you might consider asking what they would want to do if money didn't matter.

February The Retire to Abundance Newsletter Tip your Server, Not the IRS: Death and taxes. The undefeated champions of life. I’d like to think my firm's consistency and follow-through are pretty dependable too, but I have to admit the IRS has a longer track record. Taxes are complex, constantly changing, and often far more flexible than most people realize. With thoughtful, proactive planning, the difference over a lifetime can be significant. My philosophy is simple: pay what you owe, follow...
